The 5th edition of the international scientific conference Additive Manufacturing Meeting 2025 (AMM 2025) took place on June 4–5, 2025. The event was organized by the Additive Manufacturing and Materials Research Group at the Department of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The conference brought together 90 participants from Poland and abroad, including Finland, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, the United States, and Hungary.

This two-day conference brought together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in additive manufacturing (AM). This year’s edition focused on current challenges and practical applications of AM technologies.

The program featured keynote lectures delivered by distinguished scientists from renowned research institutions, including:

  • Prof. Eric MacDonald, Ph.D., University of Texas at El Paso (USA)
  • Prof. Manas V. Upadhyaya, Ph.D., École Polytechnique (France)
  • Dr. Anna Ziefuß, Ph.D., University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany)
  • Prof. Dorota Bociąga, Ph.D., Lodz University of Technology (Poland)
  • Prof. Wojciech Matusik, Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA)

A valuable industry perspective was provided by Ms. Stefanie Brickwede, Managing Director of Mobility Goes Additive and head of the corporate project 3D Printing at DB AG, who highlighted the current challenges in implementing 3D printing in the industrial sector.

One of the highlights of the conference was the Poster Pitch Session – a dynamic poster session organized in both a traditional format and as an elevator pitch. In the latter, each presenter had just 60 seconds to showcase results of their research work, which established an intensive and engaging environment, fostering knowledge exchange and enhancing the visibility of conducted research.

Additionally, a competition for young researchers was held during the poster session – the top three presentations were awarded.

Conference participants also had the opportunity to visit exhibition at Hydropolis – the water knowledge center, and to network during a dedicated social session.

The two days of the conference were filled with knowledge sharing, new connections, and the search for opportunities for further collaboration.
